The PENTAX PF-80ED Angled features a 45-degree angled body for comfortable viewing in almost any situation. Housed in a lightweight magnesium-alloy body, the PENTAX PF-80ED-A features extra low dispersion glass elements and large 80 mm objective lenses for outstanding image quality and clarity under all light conditions.

Pentax already produced a world class range of eyepieces for astronomical use, these eypieces are waterproof and come in the standard 1.25" telescope fitting, what Pentax did then was to design a scope that would take these superp eyepieces.
The PF-80ED was born, this scope is available in both straight and angled designs and is also waterproof (JIS Class 6) and fogproof, features Pentax High-refraction, low-dispersion, Lanthanum Crown (rare earth) glass elements and multi coatings.
