The Tamron SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 (Model A041) continues the tradition of Tamron's high optical performance, which in the previous model A012 was so praised worldwide by photographers and the trade press. The integration of an XGM (eXpanded Glass Molded Aspherical) lens element and multiple LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements greatly minimizes the distortion and lateral chromatic aberrations that are so common in wide-angle shooting. In addition, a newly developed AX (Anti-reflection eXpand) coating has been applied to the lens sections to reduce ghosting and flare more thoroughly than ever before. The optical performance, of this very bright F/2.8 ultra wide angle zoom, is excellent from the focal length of 15 mm. In addition, the built-in Tamron Dual MPU (Micro-Processing Unit) provides greatly improved AF speed, AF accuracy and image stabilization. This is a new generation of super high quality, ultra-wide-angle zoom, with first-class optics and a wide range of features that serve to revitalize the entire photography experience. With the introduction of this model, there are now three Tamron F/2.8 professional VC (image stabilization) 2nd generation zoom lenses (Tamron G2).
